| There
are many type of projection technologies available,
however the two most suitable for home cinemas and smaller
screening rooms are CRT and DLP.
For screen sizes up to 8 foot wide, in rooms that can
be totally blacked out CRT projectors may still be used,
however due to their size, cost and high maintenance,
DLP technology have now made CRT projectors largely
redundant.
DLP’s projectors vary tremendously in cost and
quality, but compared to other technologies they provide
excellent brightness, contrast and resolution. In most
applications a DLP projector would be the first choice
for watching films and television.
